"Betty Kituyi's poetry takes us to deep and private places where few of us dare to go. Her powerful images expose the hurt and violence we hide and deny. I am reminded of Yasmin Alibhai-Brown's belief that home is the most violent place. To read these image-rich revelations is to take a journey into the soul of us all."
