So when Jen Luna gets laid off, leaving her with nothing to do, she’s left wondering who she is without a job.

What’s a witch to do? Exactly what a mortal would do: try the local staffing agency. Freelancing may not be the solution to all her problems, but taking a chance on something new is better than staying where you don’t want to be, right?

But her first job goes awry when shadow monsters break containment during her shift. Now Jen has to use every skill she’s learned as a Hunter of Artemis to juggle her freelance gigs while hunting down the shadows, catching feelings for a woman she insists isn’t her type, and wondering if she should accept a gift from her goddess that will forever change her.
