It's been said that you can't go home again. When Yola Conova, a film star trying to rebuild a flagging career with a cross country public relations tour arrives, there are some in the small city of Hamilton convinced that that is what she has done. The mystery surrounding Conova only deepens when her body is found hanging from a bridge on a frigid night. Special Investigator James Dundee finds himself with plenty of unanswered questions. What had driven her to suicide? Was it really murder and not suicide? And was the dead woman really the Madge Smith that had left Hamilton under a cloud?
